Sunny May sees an increase on water demand

Many of us have been enjoying the dry and warm weather during May, as the Met Office confirms it’s been the sunniest month on record.

However, as we’re spending more time at home due to COVID-19, there’s been a big increase in demand for water. This is causing low pressure in some areas of the country, particularly in the Severn Trent and United Utilities regions.

Wholesalers are working hard to keep the water running, but we can all do our bit to help. By making small changes to how we use water, at home and at work, we can help keep the water flowing.
